Hi, we were wondering what we could do to change our bulldog/pug mix's diet so that we could use their waste in our worm bins? What is it about dog waste that's supposed to be so horrible that it can't be used in the landscape as a fertilizer?
I think the fear of dog poop is parasites and diseases that can be transmitted to humans. I have always heard that if you use a hot compost then the dog poop is rendered safe for fertilizing food crops. If you don't hot compost, then it's safe to use on non food plants.
Here is a thread about feeding worms dog poop.
