led grow lights

Has anyone tried led red/blue grow lights. I have read the blue is the wave length for folge and red for blooming. I would like to get one for staring plants so more blue should be better but most of the lights out there have about 80% red to 20% blue.... my guess is that is for getting more buds on pot

If you are not growing a cashcrop with them they are a little too expensive to buy. Though you should never have to replace them if you only use them in the spring. Instead of REDs or Blues or a mix of both, you can get something that is warm white 3750k and it will do very well for both the vegetative stage of growth AND for blooming...

I don't know where you live but I live close to CO. I can get an entire grow set up on Craigslist for cheap. lol Thank you marijuana.

I'm pretty sure red light is mostly for working with daylight sensitive plants in the 'dark'. I agree with the warm white light thing. And that even is mostly just useful for getting starts going early or keeping chickens laying late.
