New to the site. Howdy! Forgive me if I missed an existing topic about this, I just browsed quickly for a few minutes. Any communities in the NW?
I'm on the fence about seeking a 'green' community (intentional, eco-friendly, off-grid, whatever you please). Open to the idea. I've only found one here in Idaho, but I'm not looking to stay in Idaho. My heart lies with Montana but I have room to love Oregon and Washington too The rocky volcanic high desert and green rolling mountain prairie call me home the loudest.

I've got self-taught experience all over the board and have nearly everything I need to move out and live alone. Not looking for a crutch or something to fill the gaps. I'm not a missing piece, nor am I missing a piece; but it would be nice to roll with others in the same direction. I intend to completely shedding consumerism (within lawful boundaries), living rustically, simply, naturally, and working for my keep.

I advise looking around in the Cascadia Subforum. If you click the Travel and Opportunities link in my signature, there is a post I made in permies listing some places where people can go to find opportunities. In the Welcome to permies link, there is a brief explanation of how to do a permies-wide search.

I think I'll just lie down here for a second. And ponder this tiny ad:
