I have a friend driving back to AK from ID tomorrow and want to have him bring me some fireclay and high temp cast-able
if I can find it for normal lower 48 prices and not to hard for him to get to. Anyone have a source in that area?
Thanks!!!
So far all I have found in Fairbanks is clay cat litter,,, oh and one place that sells the high temp cast able for $115 a bag...

Hi Julie; Yes , white block in spokane valley stocks lincoln 60 . I don't know if they will honor alaska no sales tax but they do for oregon and montana. For me it is $9.80 a bag! With wash tax it's maybe $10.80 . Have your buddy tell them he is out of state "no tax" White block also sells fire brick , full ones and splits. I don't know how much they are but i'm sure there price is very good. Their phone # is 877-926-8240 this must be a cell # as wash area code is 509. their address is 6219 east trent in spokane valley , maybe 20 minute drive from coeur D' alene. easy easy access from I -90. I don't know if they offer high temp refractory or not, give them a call.

Oh julie; Have your friend bring plastic garbage bags to put each fireclay sack in ... they all leak and it will coat everything it gets near, wait till you see... it feels like liquid silk when you put your hand in a sack!
