Volunteer Kale

I have taken a very laissez-faire approche to gardening last summer and most things looked like they didn't do anything. Apparently it is bearing fruits now, we got some "volunteer" kale that showed up!

Thats what a little patience will do.

This year we have volunteer radish ,kale ( or chinese kale) I am not sure which or if there are both they were close and so far I can not tell ! last year we had volunteer bok choy so I am hoping and watching .
I plan to plant a few of these each along the woods line to encourage more to self sow

We've had the most beautiful volunteer ruccola growing on top of our water heater - it's gone to seed now and I will just let it replant itself.
