Hi Folks-

I've been lurking here for a week or two, and soaking up permaculture books and podcasts for the last year or so.

My wife, Jen, and I are in the process of buying 4 acres South of Portland, and are looking forward to gradually transforming the land and our lives.

There's a lot to catch up on here, but I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions soon. Big thanks to Paul and all the staff for providing this venue!

Welcome to Permies John, good to have you. That's great that you and your wife are not only able to get your hands on some land but that you want to work it using permaculture techniques.

I highly recommend going through the links on the How Permies Works thread if you haven't already, it has a wealth of info about how we like to see people interact here as well as why permies.com is here in the first place.

Good luck to you and your wife on your new land, hope to see lots of updates chronicling lots of projects!

They kept fire breathing monkeys as pets! This tiny ad told me so!
