If I may barrow Paul's terminology: I have been using a
land available link in my signature line, which refers to a 5 acre parcel that was going to be used for agricultural experimentation by a
non profit group with volunteers living in tiny houses on wheels. The non
profit collapsed but the land and the idea is still there. Seeing The industrious
ants at Weaton Lab Is an inspiration To try again. The advantages of being a Key Peninsula ant are a much milder winter. Paved roads, Winter rain that can be stored for the dry summer. long growing season, Very fertile soil once you pull out the scotch broom.
As it sits now there is a diagonal access driveway and ditch for
underground power from the road. There is a camp trailer stored on the property and also a motor home. There is an abandoned motor home that may be available as a foundation for building a tiny home. These are located on a flat staging area from when the property was logged. There is a grove of
trees to the west of the flat area, was considered for a yurt or tree house.
What I am looking for is to have the land cared for, Pay the property taxes, and the labor and materials to put in the electricity. The plan is to put in a 30' easement road on the west edge of the property to the 14 acres behind the lot. This would replace the current easement that goes by my house but makes an awkward connection to the corner of the 10 acre parcel behind me on a steep drop. once completed this road would make available additional spaces for other ants that would like to experiment with living on the land.
