So I found a few of these laying out on my land. Never seen anything like it and I can't get a search to find it. It's a hard seed similar to a cherry pit attached to the main vein of the leaf via a long tendril. Some leaves had groups of up to 6 seeds attached in a branching sort of way each on their own "branchlet". Any help would be much appreciated.

That's some sort of Linden tree leaf/seeds. Tilia species. The wood is supposed to be really good for carving, I've heard it called Basswood by woodworkers.

Yep, I thought linden too. The early season leaves are supposed to be edible and niceto eat.

Works at a residential alternative high school in the Himalayas SECMOL.org . "Back home" is Cape Cod, E Coast USA.
