For teaching I think there are online courses for a
PDC. We have an entire forum devoted to online learning which might fit better into a busy schedule.
I know some people have had success with finding hands on opportunities with meetups where people join together to achieve specific tasks. This might not give you the design
experience, but it goes a long way towards building the skills that will let you realize a design.
I think there are some skills (
gardening particularly comes to mind) where nothing can replace just going out and trying it yourself. If you don't have the space or
land to have your own garden, maybe there are
volunteer opportunities in your area. Schools often have gardens for students, or maybe the
local food pantries have arrangements with local gardeners who would appreciate the help.
Keeping your eyes peeled on these forums as people will often post when they look for volunteers. There's even a forum devoted entirely to posts looking for volunteers
https://permies.com/f/271/volunteer-offerings This can cover places all over the globe, but at least helps narrow the search.
