Taking the leap on Kickstarter

Wild Edible and Herbal Plants of the Southeast Kickstarter
Hello all,

I have been mulling over an idea for over a year, tinkering, planning, worrying, and dreaming. After I listened to Paul's series on crowdfunding and doing even more research. I have decided to take the leap. I have a crazy idea of creating individual PDFs of over 70 plants that can be obtained individually so a person can create their own foraging notebook. Each PDF will have good quality photos, description, habitat of the plant, and uses including edible, herbal, and practical.

If the first goal is reached the first stretch goal is for a full eBook and the second stretch goal is for a Printed workbook of all of the plants. Check it out. Even with the little bit of information on the internet, I am always surprised how many edible 'weeds' are already in my yard. I'm not exactly in your target area, but I imagine I'm close enough to have a lot of overlap. I'm familiar with all the plants you've already planned PDF's for.

Have you already decided what additional plants you will cover at the higher level?

Does the information in the PDF's also include ways to make these plants more palatable to less adventuresome eaters? Issues with the texture has been the biggest hurdle to my family making more use of these plants. And we're pretty open to experimenting.

Greg, the Kickstarter looks good. My recommendation is that you go ahead and get the stretch goals listed out in the page to help folks along in their decision making process and the sharing.
Your FAQ did cover one of Casie's questions, but throwing the complete list of what plants will be part of the higher level is a good thing too.

Cassie, yes, many will have specific recipies. The reason I picked the ones listed is because they are the most viewed of my videos on wild edible plants. Others will include:
Yellow wood sorrel, curly dock, cattail, Queen Anne's Lace, Clover, Wild Strawberry, Wild onion, sow's thistle, willow, honeysuckle, sumac, common dayflower, spiderwort, lyreleaf sage, well, you get the idea.

The forager level gets 50 individual pdfs. Other suplemental pdfs that will be made are things like how to make suryp out of sap from trees like sycamore and black walnut. I am hoping to make this an incredible resource.

I posted the links partly for you but also for other readers who might be thinking about starting their own kickstarter and looking for ideas on how to do it.  

67% to our goal. We just might make it.

We made it!!!
Now on to the stretch goals. But the Foraging PDFs are a reality!!!

Great news, Greg! I hope that $1000 goal is met, I'd really like to see this take off! I've put it a couple other places I frequent, so hopefully some bites are coming from that.
