My name is Betty Klug and I am looking for high school students to participate in a research program that I am conducting for my PhD dissertation at Capella University.
The purpose of the research is to examine the significance of including an orientation program before using a virtual world as a classroom for learners with Dyslexia or AD/HD.
Classes held in a virtual world
A safe, flexible environment.
Students
should be self-reported ADHD, or Dyslexic
A total of 20-40 hours is required by the student
Time comment about 2-3 weeks, 5 days a week for 2-2.5 hours a day
Time is spent attending
class or doing activities
online in the virtual world.
The age requirement for participants is 16 to 20 years old
Must have access to high-speed internet
Students do not need to be in school at this time
Students must not have received a High School diploma and not have completed high school biology

project is being conducted by the principal of Pinecrest Virtual Academy (PVA) in her role as a research doctoral candidate and not in her role as a teacher or administrator/owner of the school. Some of the activities in the study will be conducted using PVA virtual
land and website. If the researcher’s professional role at the school causes you discomfort you may decline to participate in the study.
