Does anyone know of a source for bareroot apricot seedling rootstock? I can't seem to find any, as most people use the interspecific or plum rootstocks.
If I made my own - UC Davis says Blenheim and royal are popular choices, and easy to find here - how long do they take to make a usable rootstock? Don't es anyone have experience with how long a seedling apricot takes to bear fruit?
Apricots are the main fruit tree here where I live, and everyone uses seedlings for rootstock. They work fine, since we're not trying to dwarf the trees or anything, and they are free and nice and small. Because of all the apricots people eat in the summer, there are lots of seedlings all over the place.
