Hi Guys

Im new here but enjoy making my own stoves in my spare time as a welder/fabricator.

I have posted a video
on youtube, and im looking for some feedback and figured this would be the place to get it!

Anyway have a quick look, and leave any comments good and bad!

Many Thanks

Chris, UK

Hi Chris.

To me, the important questions are:

1) How much smoke does it produce?
2) What it its long-term tolerance to heat? Will it still be working in 2 years time and hundreds of firings, or will it have been slowly but surely destroyed by the heat?

Obviously the second question can't be answered right now.

Looking forward to seeing your next videos though.

Hi Matt

Thanks for your questions.

1.It can produce alot of smoke when it is not up to temperature, however when it is up to temperature it produces very little smoke. My third video (pending number of comments and likes) will demonstrate this.

2.unsure on longevity of box. It is made from low carbon steel therefore it probably wont last as long as say a stainless steel version!

Any more questions please dont hesitate!

Peace!

I saw this technique on utube bout a year or so ago. I think that it was from ww2 era when soldiers were overseas that it was developed.
I think that some of the us soldiers even marketed them while deployed to Europeans

Whatever. Here's a tiny ad:
