Just curious if anyone has ever raised their own fish for consumption? I seem to have a knack for outdoor fishkeeping & if I had the right property, I'd consider raising catfish.
Another interesting site on fish/plant Aquaponics is Joel's site at http://backyardaquaponics.com/ with his discussion board at http://backyardaquaponics.com/forum/index.php
Yes, the Backyard Aquaponics site and it's forum are great resources!!!
You don't need much property to raise catfish (depending on how much catfish you are talking about raising.) We can raise hundreds of pounds of catfish in our side yard no problem.
I think catfish are one of the easiest livestocks to keep and definitely easy to process. Catfish is really good eating too.
