Maple-leaf Goosefoot....edible leaves??

So there are many references on the internet at large for foraging on lambsquarter (Chenopodium album), but I had not run across a clear statement on the edibility of Maple-Leaf Goosefoot (Chenopodium simplex).  The photos below show the size and appearance of the plant I'm talking about.....just wondering if anyone else has eaten them raw, cooked, otherwise?.....and if there are any precautions to take.   (The milk-crate in the photo is for size comparison.) Thanks!

Eat the weeds does not mention it as edible by name but gives general guidence on the whole family.
Apparently the resin taste of some members makes them suitable for "spice at best.

I never bother with the Chenapodium I find around here,the leaves are tiny.
Based on this much info, I would try it, what a potential bounty!
