I am currently visiting my uncle in the Bay Area, California. On his acreage are a lot of California bay laurels. And as it turns out, bay nuts are edible:

Thanks for sharing. According to that article bay nuts may be chocolate of the future. We have had some discussion on substitute for chocolate.
