So I gotta Toyo oil stove as the main heat in a small (900 sq ft) house,
when I feel the exhaust it seems a lot of residual heat is going out the pipe,
would a 4'x8'x6" brick wall with 4" chimney pipe zig zagged through the mass be a worthwhile investment, or a simple impediment to draft?
Also would it behoove me to build the mass with clearance behind it for airflow or stay against the wall for stability!/size][size=18]

I can't tell you if running oil heat exhaust thru a zig zag is safe or not.

I suspect that it is but ... its your call.

If I did build such a thing, I would space it out from the wall for airflow.

What I suggest is to build a wood RMH with brick bell ....
