To remove chalk paint or any other type, simply requires a razor blade scraper with a sharp blade "carefully" applied in a gentle motion. Brute strength could result in broken glass...I have found that running the blade at a 45 degree angle will produce a desirable result...FLIP the blade over after each pass so as to maximize the paint removal..If your blade seems to be getting dull, you can strop the blade on some charged leather or, Pull the blade away from the cutting edge on a piece of wet/dry sandpaper...I learned this after leaving masking tape on a South facing window for 2 weeks...I think i invented a few new cuss words after that debacle

Douglas, paint the inside of the window. The rain won't wash it off.

Cristobal Cristo, you might try some worms castings in your planting holes the next time around. Jack Chambers of Sonoma winery says the death rates of his grape vines dropped to 3 percent when he started using castings. I use them religiously on my tomato plants an by July, they are huge and healthy

I like to sprinkle wood ashes around all my garden plants. You'll need to reapply after it rains...Also for you fisherfolks out there, slugs make great fish bait!

Burra, Thank you for sharing your knowledge about Black Cherry bark. I had no idea that it had medicinal qualities. I have a friend and two daughters that make natural medicines so, going forward, I will start harvesting some bark for them...If your whittling knife is a Flexcut brand, I'm pretty sure the handle is Cherry

Chips are a great resource and very beneficial for most uses. I would not incorporate them into the soil. Also, be aware that poison ivy/oak and others may find their way into your chip delivery. I would strongly suggest a good pair of leather gloves and long sleeve shirt. I learned this the hard way
