This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEA curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Gardening.

If you’re going to grow mushrooms, it makes sense to harvest them. Even a small indoor mushroom farm can offer respectable production. It isn’t an extremely high bar, but it does take proper care to reach half a pound of production. Show that you’ve mastered the growing of mushrooms, as it can easily be scaled up.

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
Must harvest mushrooms from an indoor growing system.
Show yourself making use of the product.

To document and become certified for this BB provide photos or video (less than 2 minutes) showing the following:
- Explain if this was a kit or homemade and what mushroom is being harvested.
- Explain how it is going to be used
- Show the fruited mushroom
- Action shot of yourself harvesting the mushrooms
- Show the meal or medicine created using the mushroom

My local mycological society had an open house and one of the exhibits was making your own mushroom kit, they had several verities of oyster mushroom, I picked blue to start. They gave you about a cup of spawn growing in grain,  4 c newspaper based cat litter, 1/2 c alfalfa pellets and water. In a tub to let the pellets fluff up and dissolve in the water bag it up and take home.
To increase the surface available for fruiting I'm stuffing the grow medium in tp tubes and misting them regularly.
10 7/8oz current total  the recipe calls it's self "Mushroom tea" but it seems more like "soup" especially since I used bone broth instead of water in the picture.

Mycological society was fundraising with these kits.
Of the options I chose blue oyster mushrooms.
Made "mushroom tea" to eat.
How do I capture image of soup in previous post to move here?
