Frame and panel cabinet door - PEM BB dimensional.straw.cabinetdoor

This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

We've done some basic carpentry so far and now it's time to bump it up a notch.  Lots of furniture has doors.  Let's make a door that won't shrink or expand as much as a slab of wood!

 
 

Here's a gentleman showing us one way to do it:


Minimum requirements:
  - Make a frame and panel door for a piece of furniture
  - Frame is solid wood, plywood permitted for the panel
  - Use decent woodworking joinery techniques
       - Profile router bits, dowel pins, half laps, etc
       - No pocket hole screws or simple butt joints

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The lumber you're going to use for this project
  - Midway through the construction process
  - Completed door
