This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

Have you ever seen a curved piece of wood and wondered if the tree grew that way or if the woodworker did some magic?  They might've done some magic with steam.  Let's build a box to hold steam for bending wood!

Here's one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a steam bending box
  - Hinged opening
  - Mostly air tight
  - Includes a means to keep the work piece off the bottom of the box for steam circulation

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The lumber you're going to use for this project
  - Midway through the construction process
  - Completed steam box with door open
  - Box in use
