This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

Perhaps you are getting a bit sick of your kitchen knives getting dull in a drawer.  Or you have run out of bandages from digging around in that knife drawer.  Let's build a wooden knife block!

Here's one way to do it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXGPix40clU

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a knife block
       - Knife containment box with rice or other material doesn't count for this BB
  - Knives are contained, not held onto a surface with magnets or the like
  - Holds at least 8 knives

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The lumber you're going to use for this project
  - Midway through the construction process
  - Completed knife block holding knives

I knew that guy would be trouble! Thanks tiny ad!
