This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

We've done some basic carpentry so far and now it's time to bump it up a notch.  Are you sick of trying to take off your shoes while hopping on one foot?  Let's build a bench for the mudroom!

Here's a gentleman showing us one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a bench for sitting while taking off shoes in entryway or mudroom
  - Solid wood is preferred but plywood is allowed for this BB
  - At least cubbies, drawers, tilt out shoe storage or a high back with coat hooks
  - Homemade natural finish

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The lumber you're going to use for this project
  - Midway through the construction process
  - Applying the natural finish
  - Completed bench
