This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

We're moving along in our carpentry skills, let's try a bigger project.  Does that old desk from the thrift shop wobble a bit too much?  Let's build a big fancy executive desk!

Here's a gentleman showing us one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a fancy executive desk
  - Solid wood is preferred but plywood is allowed for panels and drawers on this BB
  - At least six drawers
  - At least one file folder drawer
  - User's legs are hidden from view for people approaching the desk
  - Homemade natural finish

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The lumber you're going to use for this project
  - Midway through the construction process
  - Applying the natural finish
  - Completed desk

I brought this back from the farm where they grow the tiny ads:
