 - Your 2 trees before they are peeled, showing they are at least 6" in diameter at the fat end and over 16 feet long
 - Your 2 trees after they are peeled and up off the ground



Way back in 2020 I came to Wheaton Labs and peeled 1.8 logs, and I'm finally back to finish the job with a (different) second log.

I can eagerly say that peeling in August (log 1), is way way harder than peeling in March (log 2), freshness aside. Peeling log 2 today was like butter, and so easy!

Stephen explained to me that's because the bark layer is shifting to become a new layer of sapwood, and there's a slick coating of fluid during that time that makes the bark just come right off! Lucky me.
