This is a badge bit (
BB) that is part of the
PEP curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in
round wood working.
This BB will be building 4 coat hooks (the
video below has eight).
The dry pieces of
wood should be the pegs, fitting in to the main back piece of green wood (freshly cut piece of wood). The idea is that the green wood will shrink and further tighten itself to the pieces of dried wood.
Holes are made in the green wood, and the dry peg pieces are inserted into it.
The long main back green wood piece is split in half, with the flat side against the wall, and the pegs are inserted into the round side.
This video shows the process using electric tools and glue, which aren't allowed, and a dry wood back instead of a green wood back, but it shows a good step by step process and example of what the end product could look like. No fancy finishing is required.
Be safe when using hand tools, work at your own risk, and enjoy building!
Minimum requirements:
- 4 hooks
- Flat back side
To get certified for this BB, post three pics.

Clarifications:
- "Hand tools" means non-powered tools. No battery/electrically powered drills
