in Michigan there is a big problem where people have dumped bait..along rivers and lakes..they are destroying the areas..there are warnings to NOT dump bait..but people don't know how else to get rid of it so they dump it anyway.
hubby used to use the native nightcrawlers that he picked up from a local field after a rain for fishing, but in the local bait stores they sell "redworms" which are not native and are dangerous..so yes..this is a big deal here.
