Most vendors here in the Philippines, have their stuff laying out in big heaps. Some have chosen to wrap two carrots or two apples or other small amounts of things in plastic . I never by their stuff and I always take the time to explain to them exactly why this won't be happening. I don't have to seek them out. It's only necessary to stand somewhere in the vicinity and the fool will speak. Usually some positive thing about whatever they're selling. Then I explain the deal killer. I tell them about the filth on the beaches and how it originates at food vendors.

I was disappointed that Mary Berry was on the screen, but not in the clip. But great celebrity representation, though. I would have liked to see a representative or more from the Doctor Who contingent, though. You know, David Tennant, or Peter Capaldi, or Jodi Whittaker, and maybe a Dalek.

We need to do this everywhere. Even if the supermarkets just threw everything out, they'd be swamped with their own plastic garbage.

Honestly, if ultimately taxpayers must bear the burden of disposing of and/or recycling anything "thrown out," why is it at all legal to sell a product that can't be recycled? Why is it not possible to mandate that packaging must be biodegradable if disposable, and for companies and retailers to accept waste for return to those who generated it?

We need a little less profiteering and a bit more governance from government, rather than politicking.
