Hi Ryan! I tried to do your survey. There really isn't enough information to make sense of the questions. I did some of them.
"How long would you be willing to spend transforming materials to make a product?"
Each day? Once a week? What is this product? Is it something I need, something I sell, something you sell? My answers would depend on all of that. I can't guess what time I'd consider worth doing for a totally unknown outcome.
"Would you prefer to buy something which would then be transformed, or buy something that would then help you transform another product (such as a toolkit)?"
I don't understand that one at all. I buy things I need, I do my best to buy them in packaging that I will reuse for other purposes. I would buy tools if they worked for me, but random speculation on unknown outcomes, again, I have no clue how to answer.
I am an upcycler, I have been know to make my living doing this. I transform everything I touch, and I am a dumpster diver and recycle bin harvester to get the ingredients for my projects, as I don't buy the kind of things that make that kind of trash. If I can't guess at what response to give your questions, rewording them might be worth doing. I may BE your target market, but I can't give you good feedback on the survey due to too general questions. This COULD just be me, I am not a fan of surveys in general, but it might be a valid data point.
All that said, the more upcycling in the world, the better! I'd love to know what you are working on!! :D
The world needs stuff dealt with. Actually it more needs stuff not used in the first place, but if it is, it needs to be reused. The waste in the world appalls me.
