Rocket Stove in a Earth Oven?

Here, at the Art of Sustainable Living Center, in Siletz Oregon, next summer we plan to build Earth Ovens, Rocket Stoves, and Mass Rocket Stoves. We have studied Kiko Denzer’s fine book on Earth Ovens. We have seen Ernie Wisner excellent video on double chamber ovens. His video is how we heard about permies.com.

Since we are new to the forum, our question may have already been answered, but what is the problem of building a rocket stove 30 inches under an earth oven to preheat an earth oven? It should use less fuel, shorten the heat up time and make less smoke. Opinions?

Why not just build the oven on the rocket stove barrel? same difference.
This is why I dont; I like a bit of smoke to my food when i am baking in an earthen oven and I dont think its very hard to pull coals out before I bake. We built a rocket oven and i didnt like it much nor did i like the flavor of the baked goods. Try it and see ive never seen anyone make a rocket 30 inches below the oven so i cant say if it will work or not. seems that 30 inches is a rather large gap.
