A resource to avoid foods containing poisons

My brother told me about this, and I think this is a good resource to share here on Permies. The website http://glyphosatetested.com is a new resource, for people who have concerns about avoiding foods or food like products that contain the ubiquitous carcinogenic poison, glyphosate, better known by its commercial trade name RoundUp. Coming soon, as various foods are tested, a public ratings list will be available on this website, to help people like myself, be informed and avoid buying deleterious foods that can make make people ill. Currently, anything labeled organic, cannot contain synthetic toxic poisons (herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, etc.) which is nice to have in place, and this is another tool for consumers to use to help them make an informed choice on foods available to buy.

I hope that this thread will form a healthy discussion about avoiding pernicious foods containing chemical residues and build a resource of information for the people of permies community and also passerby’s that happen upon this thread from search engine results, to help find clean, safe to eat food at ones local grocery store. I also hope to see that this thread does not become a place to shake our fist and vent and be angry about poison in our food, but become a thread help one another.

Very Nice James that is a great website, but for me it is fairly simple to avoid foods possibly contaminated by current farming practices.

Don't buy bread, flour, corn meal, soybean products That are not labeled Organic, or anything that contains at least one of those items (read the labels closely).

There is no wheat, corn, soybeans, or other grains grown non-organic in the USA that has not seen roundup sprayed on them.
Soy milks are also suspect since they are made from "roundup ready" soybeans.

Even Organic farms use some pesticides, they just happen to be the ones listed in the Organic guidelines/requirements.
