Hello

So yes i have been nixamalizing(?) my northstine dent corn which we grew this year and turning it into tortillas they have been great! No irritated bowels , which when i use bob's mills masa harina my bowels become slightly inflamed.

anyways
I end up with about 1 1/2 - 2 liters of water and the calcium hydroxide ( i add about 2 tablespoons of food grade pickling lime to the water)

What shall i do with this. I began soaking the chickens feed in it and than thought maybe there is another use for this water with high PH.

Can i safely put it on my compost pile?
Do you have another suggestion for using this high ph water? Or maybe its not high at all i have no idea

thank you in advance

Typically, I use high or low pH water to kill weeds in areas like roadways or walkways, not right next to plants that I want. One of my favorite weed killers of this type is the water that I boil for pretzels, works great.

I usually dilute it and water veggies with it. Especially brassicas and tomatoes.
