hi all im happy to share with yall how I make my biltong a traditional south african way to preserve meat using just spices and air drying here i use a box with a fan but in the old days it was often just hung under the eves of the house,in the pantry or under a tree when out hunting.

Lekker. I grew up in Greytown and went to school in Maritzburg. Whenever I go back to the farm to visit my folks I stop in at the butcher at the petrol station in New Hanover. Still the best biltong I've had anywhere.

I used to to a lot of work out at the mill in dalton and always used to stop in at that butcher on the way for biltong but in my opinion its not as good now as it used to be my favorite is now grobies butchery on the bluff mmm id love to find out their secret recipe.
