Couple of elk in the freezers to help get us through the winter.
Was wondering how Jill would cook up an elk roast?
She has a lot of great recipes.
I like to slow cook an elk roast in a dutch over coals with plenty of veggies, especially onions and carrots. Usually takes a bottle of good red wine, cup in oven the rest in me! Just salt and pepper for seasonings. (Maybe a bit of garlic).
Love sitting around the fire smelling it cook.
