I talked my mother into buying me an Estwing camp axe when I was 10 or 11....i am 51 now. It sits by my fireplace and is used daily to split kindling and poke the fire. It has truly been a lifelong tool. And it wold be badass in a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE...LOL

Richard,

I have that axe!  And yes, it would be great in the zombie apocalypse!  Personally I prefer the one slightly longer, and I even have the longest of the three and I use them on a regular basis.  I own but no longer use more traditional axes with the usual long handle and heavy head.  If I have to really chop, I use the longest estwing axe.  It has such a narrow blade and head that each swing bites further into the wood than my traditional axe.  The medium size is great for all around use and the camp axe is a fantastic one-handed tool.
