We need an intern or two with a farming or horticultural background to help on our thirty acre sustainable hazelnut farm and garden. We presently have a large glass greenhouse (26'x60') and intend to add some high tunnel space this year. We are also currently developing hazelnut husking and processing machines. Ideally, we would like to have someone for six months to a year, however, we need a minimum commitment of three to four months. We can provide comfortable living quarters for a single male or a couple. Stipend is negotiable. If interested in this opportunity, we will gladly provide more information in response to inquiries.
Sincerely,
Norm Erickson

Too bad I didn't see this about 6 years ago! I lived in Lake City and worked at the apple orchard. are you the one who host the the hazel field day in the fall? Maybe one of these years I'll make it there, fall is a busy time for me.

I hope you find an intern, I'll pass it on if I think of anyone.

and hey! I thought Lake City was the birthplace of water skiing not the hazelnut capital, though that would be much cooler.

I can't beleive you just said that. Now I need to calm down with this tiny ad:
