Has anyone propagated Bay laurel or Loquat tree?

I have tried numerous times and have not had success. Would love to know how. Any help?

The easiest way to do bay is by seed, they generally self seed quite freely so looking about under a large one should provide some saplings.

of those i've only propagated loquat, and from seed. real easy, no stratification needed. a reference book i have says that since it's a broadleaf evergreen, cuttings may prefer it cooler and to try in oct/nov. it also says that well-draining medium and mist 'is essential'.
