We would like to share our small organic garden and chickens with one additional small household.  The garden contains standard veggies but has much room to grow.  We have 9 chickens of varying ages, getting from 3 to 6 eggs per day.

We hope to find someone that would like to explore ways to sustainably increase the garden's production, tend the space with us, and work with the chickens.  Please note that we do not harvest our chickens -- only the produce & eggs.

We also have some fruit trees that can use tending to be more productive.

Need to be able to fully work the land even though it is a small space.  Lots of weeds and the beds can be improved and expanded.  We move the chickens around the property in heavy "tractors" so you'll need to be able to lift, bend, etc etc...

We just can't do it all and so have only done as much as we can but still end up with surplus veggies & eggs.

Welcome to the forums! You might want to say where you and your garden are located!

Thank you, yes.  Forgot to mention that.  We are located between Woodinville and Monroe, off of 522.  It's called Maltby but is unincorporated Snohomish County.

Ooookay, what state? Are you in the US or Canada?

Maltby / Snohomish County are in Washington State. (I don't know Mamahawk, but I do know this area!)

If it helps to sorta explain, Leigh, I think there has been a large percentage of Pacific Northwesterners on here, and folks forget there are more and more folks from across the U.S. joining in.

To get your location to show up under your name, you can go to:
*account
*forum profile information
*personal text - enter your location here; I typed "Western WA"

Mamahawk, did you ever find someone to share in your farm?

I'm wondering if this should move to the Cascadia forum. Also, I was incorrect to say there are mostly Pacific NWers on here...LOTS from other regions, too!

A year and a half has gone by since you posted your ad but I just joined the site.  I am seeking a situation where I can live more closely to my garden and pursue permaculture projects.  I'm a handy woman with good fixit skills and a nonstop, some say obsessive, gardener. I'm getting the word out wherever I get the chance.  Your description sounds wonderful and close by.  I live in Lynnwood and want to stay close to family in the Seatle area.  I hope your needs have been met and a good match was made for you from this website.

Patti, if you are interested, I have 5 acres that I would like to start turning into a more permaculture friendly land. 2 of it I am devoting to food production, with only about 1/4 actually developed or developing so far and the other 3 are grass, forest and house if you are interested.

Just outside of Monroe towards Sultan.

www.youtube.com/user/therawlifefamily can show you what I currently have. I'm just learning about permaculture, so there is any of that really on my property yet.

Hello,

I recently read your ad on craigslist for the permaculture farmhouse in Maltby. My family and I have been looking for
a place in this general area and are VERY interested in learning more about this property. I moved up here two years
ago with my children who are use to country lifestyle. My 15 year old daughter wants to raise chickens (only for the
eggs, not to kill) and we have been having difficulty finding a location that will allow that. Along with my 13 and 11
year old boys who are use to having room. We use to collect wild mushrooms every year while living in Oregon. I would
be very interested in learning more on growing them. I have worked for Pacific Power Batteries for the past two years.
I love gardening and working the land, more the country lifestyle my kids and I are use to.My husband, has worked in
Mukilteo at Workforce Development as an aerospace instructor for the past 13 years. He enjoys working outdoors and
maintaining property.
I did send you an e-mail this morning and am looking forward to hearing from you. This seemed like the more
appropriate way to reach you. Please feel free to call or e-mail me, if I do not answer my phone it is because I am
with a customer. Please leave a message and I will make sure to return your call as soon as possible.

Thank you;
