Hi All;  Recently the question was asked about adding "bucking teeth" to an EGO 16" saw.
After looking mine over and trying a bar guard and teeth from a gas saw.
I think it could be done.
As you can see in the photo's, there is one stud in place, it might need to be longer and another that "might" be removable to install a longer stud.
The bar plate and teeth holes ... almost line up perfectly.
Will it work for sure??? Who knows? Is it a good idea???
The body is all plastic... torque it enough and I'm sure it will break...
But now a days everything is plastic, so with care it could work for years.

Will I do this to my EGO?  No need, I got it to cut mountain maple for my smoker.
I'll use a gas saw if I need dogs.

I sure hope Ego warranty reps don't see your post, otherwise the first question they may ask on their warranty card is: "Do you know Thomas Rubino?"

I'm a big fan too of stretching the limits of what tools were originally designed for (but maybe should have been) so I can appreciate your documentation of this particular hack. Cross that one off my bucket list.
