The badge system is awesome, and if I were more organized I'm sure I'd be really working it.  So, to help me get organized, I'm going to ramble about my daily routines here and then realize I could get a badge for some things probably.  For instance, I only just realized I could get bits for just XXXXXX OK that's not legal here, but. . .uh. . .well, for cooking dinner on my perfectly legal outdoor "campfire" (that just happens to be shaped like a letter J).  All i have to do is remember to take pictures!

--OK, so morning, I got out and XXXXXX, and drop some maggots into their XXXXXXX, check the XXXX and YYYY and refill ZZZZZ.
--I take out the compost every few days, and I swear to God I'm gonna finish my garden badge, as soon as I have enough mulch and enough compost together at the same time, it's been kinda like the Heisenberg uncertainty principle for a while, can't have one without losing the other, or like when the humans couldn't believe Snuffalufagus was real.  Meantime the good stuff goes in the worm bin because I need to try and build soil I can put in various places around the landscape, places I don't have anywhere near a Ruth Stout level of mulch to cover as of yet
--I forage yard waste from neighbors as I'm able, and rescue some from a willing neighbor that would be going into landfill
--I put my #1 Extra-GoldTM nitrogen+ fertilizer out in the yard in various strategic locations or just wherever, when there's surplus, diluted 5:1
--I capture rainwater for said purpose, and irrigate because year 1 hugel, at night
--I am growing perennials
--I am also growing some algae for the XXXXX
--I scrape the catfood can bits out into the bucket for the maggots
--I sometime cook with the solar cooker if I remember
--I cook on the "campfire" and then put the rain guard back over it at the end, and chop up some more pallet wood for that and am drying extra in the shed
--I gather wood when I'm out on a walk, just some small sticks
--I have also XXXXXXX one of the XXXX's...and I'm saving their ***** for the garden too
--I do the laundry some days, reusing the water from the shower that's waste from waiting for it to warm up, and hang it on the line on the porch where it gets some sun
--I favor a few walnut trees I had posted on here a while back, I "unplanted" them, and I also tossed out some peach pits to try and get those going, some apple seeds, a chestnut, pawpaw
--I'm on track to grow about 10,000 calories this year at least, I'd guess, hopefully a lot more than that but it's slow building soil and I use inputs only in places where they're getting processed by something not edible (the banana tree is for plates from the leaves, at the moment, and for kicks)
--I've canned some peaches this year, and so far they haven't molded (2 months)
--I made a pesto from our lambsquarter weeds, and a butternut squash soup from that plus homegrown potato
--grew some spring garlic, will try it again this fall (why don't rentals automatically come with someone having planted garlic for you the fall before??)
--now I know why I don't seem to have any time for lots of other things, like taking photos of all of this

I think if I don't get myself organized to get the badges, at least this record of things has plausibility to it and is better than nothing.  Esp. if I can disclose the XXX's part.    And hopefully it will help me think about which badges I can be working toward.

Thanks for helping me think out loud here.
