Mixing citrus plant without getting mixed flavoured fruits

Hi,

i was researching citus these days, and came upon one statestament that said that if you grow
Lemons next to mandarines you will get mandarines with a light lemon flavour because of cross pollination.
(Sorry i did not note the link to the source)

Furthermore it was said that mixing Mandarines with Procinus Trifoliata doesn't induce this issue
as they have blossoms at different times and therefore don't cross pollinate.

Does anybode have more information/ideas on this topic?

i don’t have citrus experience with this, but generally it doesn’t work that way in fruits. the pollinator will show up in the offspring (i.e. if you plant the new seeds) but the fruit is the mother genetically.
