Hi fellow mushroom growers in ozark area or zone 6b, what strains of shiitake you are growing and when are they fruiting?

I have only one kind, the warm weather Native Harvest from field& forest. The oak logs fruited in late March-april and Sept through early Oct. I am going to buy some wide range or cold weather strains this year to extend the harvest seasons. Is there a difference in taste/time between the WR46 and west wind strains?

Thanks in advance.

Ok, I found the info in their website under menu/learn/species &strain. Although the company is from WI, the fruiting times seem to be similar to my area. I use that as a guide and will order wr46 and miss happiness. All three should cover mushroom production year round.

We had a wet January and the logs are pinning already. I bought a couple logs indoor to see if I can get some tonko sooner.
