Hi,
I'm searching information on how to shade my beds from the mid-summer sun heat. Google only shows me shading clothes (which is plastic) and pergolas with vines. I remember to have seen in some YouTube
video a
permaculture garden where the lady used a
trellis with some vines for shading. This trellis was tilted south, supported by two sticks, so in winter it allowed sun to reach the plants, and in summer it provided partial shading, in addition to the vines losing the leafs in winter. The same effect as in a house porch.
I don't think I can grow vines yet, but I'd like to know shading strategies for those of you who are in warm to hot climates which do not involve plastic or waiting for a tree to grow tall
enough.
