Problem = Solution. Solution needed

So last night we had a lot of rain and wind which has beaten up my pea plants and torn some of them from their support. They were just coming into production with lots of flowers and many small pods.

I was planning to sell my extra pea pods but now it looks like I may have some losses. At the very least there will be damages and some plants will die.

I was thinking of making packages of pea flowers and shoots to mix in with salad greens to sell quick but...

How long will they last once cut? AND what is the best way to store them? Cold and Humid is my guess but I'd like to hear from you all.

pea shoots are best sold very very young, I would just carefully reattach the peas to their support and keep them well watered, maybe a little shade while they recover, you should still get peas.

As it turns out, it looks like they will survive, though things are a little tangled now. It also turns out that my kids are thrilled about eating tiny pea pods and fresh flowers so... I don't think I have a problem any more. Next year I'll devise a better support. I really didn't expect to have all of the seeds to grow so well. Last year I had losses from pests and poor soil so I didn't expect them to do as well as they did this year. I guess that's a good problem to have.

I'll just pull off some flowers and see how well they store. I'd like to add them to salads with other edible flowers. It's just nice to eat pretty food.
