I love old books on farming and animal husbandry, not only for their historical value, but also because they contain so many great ways of doing things before modern inputs became the norm. I found this book about pigeon keeping, originally published in 1891. It's now public domain and a free download at the US Archive. Very interesting chapter on feeding pigeons, as well as housing, breeding, etc. Follow the link to take a look and grab a copy for yourself.
