I recently broke my leg and had surgery to fix that. Usually I have already tilled a garden and am just waiting for planting time. This year I won't be walking until time to plant. I can manage to get hay bales to my garden area with tractor and plant some clover over the whole area I usually use as garden. This situation may be a blessing in disguise. I just have a question about quantities. How many squash, zucchini, plants per bale? How many tomatoes per bale? I would hate to lose a whole season because of one mid winter slip
I have a big vegetable garden and still usually get a dozed or so hay bales into new areas on a regular basis. I just like to plant a lot of new varieties and its too hard to make new garden beds in my clay soil.
After conditioning your hay bales you can plant 2 yellow type squash, one big zucchini, 2 tomato plants if you trellis. bush beans 6in apart each way, 2 eggplant. i have even planted watermelon and pumpkins, 1 per bale and let them sprawl all over the area.
CAUTION! Do not touch the blades on your neck propeller while they are active. Tiny ad:
