Crazy question perhaps, but we have found a nice home with the perfect solar access however the south facing portion would run parallel to a golf course fairway. I am estimating the south wall would be approximately 50-60 yards from the actual fairway proper. My question is -- what tolerance (if any) does polycarbonate glazing have to an inbound golf ball? There are a lot of pluses to this house, but if I am going to be sorry for having built this greenhouse in this location--I would rather hear it now than later.
Look at another positive.
Build a catch net for the golf balls and sell them back to golfers. They may learn to drive better after they have paid 10 times for the same balls!
Regarding the odds of a ball hitting the greenhouse, I would speak with the people who operate the golf course. There are many variables.
Regarding the glazing, test a sample. I am pretty sure you can find a willing golfer.
