Hey folks,

This is not my doing. Well in a way it is. My parents have seen my enthusiasm for permaculture and building a better world, and as a result they're jumping aboard.

My mom is in the midst of reading Gaia's Garden by Toby Hemenway. She stumbled onto the herb spiral part and thought it was neat. She likes her fresh herbs, and having them close by in a neat little mountain is pretty neat. So she watched some videos, told my dad about it, and today they got to work. They used big rocks from a neighbour's garden who was clearing them out. The soil, sand, sticks and twigs were all from our yard. So all either recycled material or stuff from right here in our yard!

I think all in all it took a few hours. I had school stuff to do so I wasn't helping out with this project.

Enjoy the photos of the process. My took mom them from beginning to end.
