I wasn't sure where to post this, but I thought I'd share this fire starting trick. I recently replaced the innards of my perennially-out-of-fuel Zippos with those fancy plasma lighters, which have been working great. The only problem is transferring the flame to hard-to-reach
kindling.
I've seen people using paraffin-saturated jute or cotton string, but I have found that regular making tape does a better job. You can stick it directly where you want the flame, it stays wrapped tightly on the lighter, and you have makeshift sticky notes or bandages whenever you need!
Cheers,
David
