Hi Jimmi, your post really perked my interest. I'm mostly familiar with Masanobu
Fukuoka's natural farming methods, but not Korean. So, another opportunity to learn is welcome, and sent me on a bit of a research jaunt. I am particularly interested in soil biology and the soil ecosystem, so I thank you for the reference to Chris Trump's videos.
For what it's worth, my take is that if one is trying to encourage indigenous microorganisms, then the best route is to utilize indigenous additives. If you have homegrown supply of oak and maple leaves, I'd say, experiment. I think the best case scenario is always one where the system is as closed as possible. I mean, if we continually have to import inputs, then that seems to negate the "natural" in any natural farming system. Does that make sense?
